MARYLAND TEACHER TECHNOLOGY STANDARDS	TEACHING IMPLEMENTATION	CONNNECTIONS BETWEEN CONTENT AND TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS	REQUIRED STUDENT LITERACY SKILLS
Information Access, Evaluation, Processing and Application	Have students do a research project on a medical disease/disorder, requiring them to reference various online resources	Internet Inquiry – Students must look up online medical documents, encyclopedias, etc. in order to research information on their disease/disorder topic, such as signs/symptoms, medication/treatments, diagnoses, etc.	-Evaluating web resources -Determining meaningful use of web resources -Online comprehension of reading material -Summarizing high-end medical vocabulary content into students’ own words.
Communication	Have an online classroom website/blog to have students/teacher/parents to effectively communicate with one another and provide students with extra class-related material to utilize while at home	Internet Workshop – Students have the ability to effectively communicate about questions, concerns regarding the class through this website. They can also review study guides and conceptual online resources related to the class, that I will provide on the website.	-Online comprehension of reading material -Various literacy study methods to review science vocabulary/concepts
Legal, Social, and Ethical Issues	Review with students how to properly reference sources with bibliographies and internal citations. Also discuss academic honesty policies and rules of plagiarism and consequences related to these topics	Internet Inquiry/Workshop – I will provide students with a list of various websites. Some appropriate references, while some that are informal and not appropriate to reference. Students must explain why they designate the sources as appropriate or inappropriate to reference.	-Evaluating web resources -Determining meaningful use of web resources -Online comprehension of reading material -Compare/Contrast
Assessment for Administration and Instruction	In general, when a lesson does not go over well, look up other teacher blogs/resources to find other methods/strategies they utilized that worked well for their students.	Internet Inquiry/Workshop – As the teacher, I can find common teacher blogs/sharing sites to reference other teacher’s lesson plans to incorporate into my own.	-Evaluating web resources -Determining meaningful use of web resources -Research and Apply
Integrating Technology into the Curriculum and Instruction	This relates to the assignments in Module 4 – WebQuest Activity. I will investigate various online WebQuest activities and create worksheets for students to complete as they navigate through the related WebQuest activity.	WebQuest – Students will navigate through a science-related WebQuest activity in order to learn or further enhance their knowledge on a science topic. They will complete a worksheet as they complete the WebQuest (guiding)	-Online Reading Comprehension -Reading/Writing Assessment Skills -Guiding skills through reading
Assistive Technology	Throughout the curriculum, I will provide students with various online applications and sources they can access and utilize to further enhance their knowledge in the topic	Internet Inquiry – I will provide powerpoints, graphic organizer, Youtube videos, Online Textbook material, that students can use from home in order to study various materials. Some student are visual/conceptual learners, and these resources would bode well for them.	-Evaluating web resources -Determining meaningful use of web resources -Research and Apply -Relating real world applications to class topics.
Professional Growth	Identify local, state and national standards and use them to improve teaching and learning	This MTTS activity, in itself is performing and applying the standard/outcome.	-Evaluating web resources -Determining meaningful use of web resources
